Artificial Intelligence Disputes

As artificial intelligence moves into finance, logistics, healthcare, and the systems companies use to move money, it is generating a new category of high stakes dispute. Artificial intelligence changed the facts of a case before it changed the law. A voice on a call authorizing a transfer may not belong to a person. A document produced in discovery may never have existed. An opposing party’s proof may rest on a tool whose reliability has never been tested in court. These are not future problems and they are not primarily compliance problems. They are evidentiary and investigative problems, and they arrive inside disputes that are already high stakes.
