Daniel McGillycuddy is a Partner in Seiden Law’s Sanctions, White Collar, Investigations and Regulatory group and a trial lawyer who first-chaired more than 100 trials and hearings as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, including a conspiracy to murder a sitting Justice of the New York Supreme Court and a widely publicized double murder. He brings that courtroom experience to internal investigations and regulatory defense for international banks, hedge funds, private equity firms, and Fortune 100 companies.

McGillycuddy is retained when an investigation or enforcement matter could become a criminal one, and when a client needs a former prosecutor who has run complex fraud, money-laundering, and cartel cases from the other side. He has conducted board-directed internal investigations, defended PCAOB, SEC, and False Claims Act matters, and handled OFAC-related internal investigations for multinational corporations.

Sophisticated clients, co-counsel, and referring firms turn to McGillycuddy to take a sensitive investigation or white-collar matter from first interview through resolution, in or out of court, opposite the nation’s leading firms and prosecutors.
